ACTIVE IQ L3 DIPLOMA IN EXERCISE REFERRAL
What learning materials will I receive for my Exercise Referral course?
All the learning materials for this course are available online through an awarding body online learning portal with a virtual classroom which guides you section by section, through your course. As you may already hold a Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification, frequent learning checks will refresh you on the Anatomy & Physiology and Nutrition units, you'll also be able to access all the necessary online learning materials required for this course too. All the facts and information you require are clearly presented to make learning as easy and enjoyable as possible, there's even a quiz at the end of each section to test yourself. A hard copy of the course manual is also available at an additional cost.
How is the course delivered?
You will be required to complete a series of home study units via an awarding body study portal. Here you will gain understanding of the theoretical and analytical skills required to work with patients on an Exercise Referral Scheme. The study portal will provide all the relevant knowledge to complete the linked Learner Assessment Portfolio (LAP). Within the LAP you will also be required to complete a case study and submit your findings. Finally, there is a requirement to complete a practical assessment based on this case study and this can be face to face or via submission of a video of a practical assessment. Tutor support will be readily accessible via call, emails, and online meetings during the journey to answer queries and guide your steps to completion.
